About the Dietitian
Joy P. Teston received a B.S. degree in Food Science and Nutrition from Clemson University and graduated at the top of her class in the Augusta Area Dietetic Internship. She has worked in clinical settings at University Hospital in Augusta, Georgia and Durham Regional Hospital in Durham, North Carolina. She has several years of experience as a dietitian in cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation at Durham Regional Wellness Institute in Durham, N.C. where she met with clients for individual counseling and taught group nutrition courses. In addition, she has worked with Central Florida YMCA meeting with clients for individual counseling and teaching weight management classes. She is certified in Adult Weight Management treatment. Joy has a passion to help people of all ages take charge of their health and improve their quality of life. |

Joy P. Teston, R.D., L.D.N. is a Registered and Licensed Dietitian who meets with clients for individual nutrition counseling at Journey’s Fitness and Wellness, Inc. During these counseling sessions, she addresses each client’s nutrition and wellness goals and designs a nutrition plan. She takes your health history, medical diagnoses, and lifestyle factors into consideration to tailor a nutrition plan to meet your specific needs. It can be a challenge to eat a healthy and balanced diet with today’s hectic pace, but Joy can design a plan especially for you that is not only practical but easy to implement.

During your consultation, we will discuss ways to correct nutritional deficiencies and excesses to maximize your health. We will also discuss behavior modification strategies and set goals to help you make lasting changes in your eating habits.

These 30-minute follow-up sessions provide critical nutrition teaching/coaching you will need to be successful in achieving your long-term goals. We will problem solve and provide additional nutrition strategies to fit your specific lifestyle demands
